- ul to play Monday night f
RENTON, Wash. -- Percy Harvin is listed as doubtful to play Monday night for Seattle against the New Orleans Saints because of lingering soreness in his surgically repaired hip. Harvin made his debut with the Seahawks two weeks ago against the Minnesota Vikings and appeared in 21 total plays, 19 offensive snaps and two plays on special teams. Harvin made one catch for 17 yards and returned a kickoff 58 yards in his only two touches in the game. Coach Pete Carroll expected Harvin to be fully integrated into the offence coming out of their bye, but Harvin was unable to practice during the week. "We thought that (the soreness) would go with a week break and all of that, but it just lasted a little longer than we thought, and if anything at all is not right were not going with him," Carroll said. "Were going to make sure hes 100 per cent before we go." Harvins hip remains sore and hasnt responded the way the Seahawks expected coming out of the game. Carroll said they dont see any structural issues with the hip. "Hes just sore and so we dont want to push beyond that right now. Its not worth it," Carroll said. The Seahawks acquired Harvin in a trade with the Vikings in March and gave him a new five-year contract. He was limited in off-season work due to soreness in his hip that prompted surgery on Aug. 1. He missed the first 10 games of the season while on the physically unable to perform list before being activated two weeks ago. Notes: Carroll said he expected to hear more from the league on CB Brandon Browners status by the middle of next week. Browner is reportedly facing a suspension for a violation of the leagues substance-abuse policy. Browners appeal was heard by the league on Wednesday. He is out for Monday nights game with a groin injury. ... RB Marshawn Lynch (knee) and WR Jermaine Kearse (concussion) are probable. Marvin Bagley III Jersey . There are some early surprises in the race for the Hart Trophy, but two of the contenders are the leagues biggest stars over the past decade. There are many more players in contention for the awards than just the three that Ive named, and a good or bad week can easily alter the landscape, but through the first 20 or so games of the NHL season, this is how the awards races look to me. Mitch Richmond Jersey .com) - Ames, IA (SportsNetwork. https://www.kingslockerroom.com/Peja-Sto...on-Jersey/ . Hicham Khalouas late goal improved Almerias chances of avoiding relegation in a match dominated by contentious calls, including three penalties. One day after Barcelonas 4-3 win at Real Madrid featured three penalties, referees again dominated a wide-open game that saw Almeria ultimately move out of the relegation zone and one point ahead of Getafe which took its place. Caleb Swanigan Jersey . The top-ranked Williams carried her winning momentum from 2013 into the new season, beating No. 2-ranked Victoria Azarenka 6-4, 7-5 on Saturday to defend her title at the Brisbane International and set the tone for the Australian Open. Kyle Guy Kings Jersey .Y. - Lou Williams scored 21 points and the Toronto Raptors beat New York 81-76 on Monday night in the Knicks preseason home opener.Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 23 shots for a successful NHL debut, as the Tampa Bay Lightning claimed a 3-1 victory over Philadelphia on Tuesday. Recalled from Syracuse of the AHL prior to the contest, Vasilevskiy was the reigning player of the week in the league. Steven Stamkos, Tyler Johnson and Valtteri Filppula lit the lamp for the Bolts, who were coming off consecutive road losses to the Capitals and Penguins. Ryan Callahan added two assists for Tampa, which also reached the 20-win plateau. Wayne Simmonds posted a power-play goal for the Flyers, who had won their first two of a four-game homestand.
